ALC subgroup: CL61 first experience

A new ALC with depolarisation capability (Vaisala CL61) is being increasingly operated by the PROBE community.

As the first measurements are becoming available, the PROBE ALC subgroup is inviting everyone to share their first experience with the new model.

• What is the user experience? Which issues where encountered?
• How do products compare to observations from other sensors (cloud base, backscatter, depol)?
• We specifically invite everyone to share their first case studies to illustrate the instrument's capabilities and limitations.

Following the user reports, we are going to discuss the PROBE recommendations for operating the CL61.

The manufacturer Vaisala is is going to participate in the meeting.
