DESCRIPTION;ALTREP="CID:<FFFF__=0ABBE548DFE235B58f9e8a93d@coffeebean.com>":
This is the first meeting of the UAS taskgroup aiming to better coordinate
the various activities within the PROBE community.\nThe meeting will touc
h the following topics and items:\n\nData format: Working on a standard da
ta format - CF compliant NetCDF file to make it easier for UAS operators a
nd data users to share and use the data for research and forecasting\nUAS
fact sheets: Working on a document on UAS which includes information on wh
at types of measurements we can make\, what sensors the community are usin
g\, some information on accuracy and precision etc.\nGuidline: definition
of quality goals for atmospheric data measured by UAS (e.g. proofs that ra
diation mistakes were avoided as well as other systematic errors e.g. in t
he wind vector)\nQuality assurance / management: library of quality-assure
d / standarised routines for UAS data analysis regarding ABL and other atm
ospheric properties\nFlight demonstration: demonstrate the capability of U
AS and work with industry and regulators and industry to highlight the ben
efits of UAS for meteorology\, air quality and research purposes – ideally
coordinated with WMO plans and activities.\nUAS intercomparison: at one o
f the European sites where it is relatively easy to fly UAS (WMO would be
very interested in this too but doesn't have the capacity to organise this
bit)\, e.g. The Cyprus Institute\, German Met. Office observatory in Lind
enberg\,\n\nIn order to have an efficient meeting\, please make your minds
up on the following questions:\n\nWhat system are you using (aircraft\, f
light control)?\nWhat measurement systems are you carrying?\nWhat research
are you doing with your systems?\nWhat are you missing in order to achiev
e your scientific goals?\nWhat kind of co-operation would be advantageous
 for you?\n\n \nMeeting details:\n13th July 2022\, 10-12 CEST (8-10 UTC)\nN
o registration is required.\nDetails to access the online meeting will be
distributed via email to the PROBE users and members.\nIf you are not yet
registered as a PROBE user\, please do so at this link.
