User experience with the Vaisala CL61

The Vaisala CL61 is a recent ALC capable also to capture the particle depolarisation. It is increasingly operated by the PROBE community.

To better understand its capabilities and limitations, the PROBE WG3/4 ALC taskgroup is inviting everyone to share their experience with the CL61.

• What is the user experience? Which issues where encountered?
• How do products compare to observations from other sensors (cloud base, backscatter, depol)?
• Please share your first results and interesting case studies to illustrate the instrument's capabilities and limitations.

Following the user reports, we are going to discuss the PROBE recommendations for operating the CL61.
