Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM)

General infos on STSM

STSMs are a key tool for knowledge exchange within a COST action. Anyone can apply to conduct an STSM at a host-institution, however, early career investigators (ECI - up to 8 years after PhD) and researchers from inclusiveness target countries (ITC) are particularly encouraged. The host institution needs to be in a different country than the affiliation of the individual researcher.

What are suitable topics for a PROBE STSM?

Any subject related to the PROBE objectives of advanced ABL profiling can be an STSM topic. This includes various aspects of instrument operations or development, data processing and quality control, product development or scientific applications.

How to propose a topic?

Either the researcher or the host institution can propose a specific topic for collaboration. The individual researcher and the host institution have to agree on collaborating in the framework of a virtual STSM.
