WG3: Tailored measurement networks

T3.1: Establish common formats for data and metadata products, meeting user requirements. Coordinate a pilot demonstration of near-real-time data transfer, visualization and data quality control.
T3.2: Survey and engage existing ABL profiling systems in Europe. Develop minimum requirements for participation in the network.
T3.3: Develop proposals for improved ABL profiling networks for high-impact applications based on existing capacities of operational agencies..

D3.1: Data and format standards for operational dissemination in real time for all products.

D3.2: Report presenting minimum requirements for contributors to participate in networks.

D3.3: Recommendations and prototype tools for centralized processing and network monitoring.

We focus on three main tasks:

Data and format standards for network applications: The task group currently activates collaboration with ACTRIS, E-PROFILE and other programs to enable synchronized data formats.
Design of optimized networks: The task group will identify minimum requirements for a profiling network by closely collaborating with existing research projects and ACTRIS developments.
Activation of new networks: The task group is currently forming. The first main activity will be to identify operators of ABL profilers which are not yet included in existing international networks
