Wg3/4: Doppler lidar operation procedure and retrievals

The meeting is proposed to get together all people working with Doppler lidars and develop a subworking group dealing with operational Doppler lidars.

The objectives will be elaborated during our first meeting, but most likely will cover:

  • Standard operation procedures (including scanning strategies)
  • Retrieval of vertical profiles of horizontal wind
  • Retrievals ABL height detection and ABL classification
  • Data formatting

The WG3/4 DL task group would focus on established, published work, to bring the existing methods, codes, ... to make an inventory and to reach a higher level of maturity (and higher level of documentation) so that they can be implemented by PROBE end-users.
