Upcoming meeting on Doppler lidar standard procedures and retrievals

Hello! do you operate Doppler lidars? if yes, maybe this meeting can be interesting for you.

The WG3/4 is organizing a task group focusing the following goals:

  • Standard operation procedures (including scanning strategies)
  • Retrieval of vertical profiles of horizontal wind
  • Retrievals ABL height detection and ABL classification
  • Data formatting

They will check established, published work, collect the existing methods, codes, and make an inventory to reach a higher level of maturity. The high-level documentation obtained in this way can be then implemented by PROBE end-users.
